The Dress

When I got engaged I knew I wanted an iconic wedding gown that had a modern twist.
I found Georgia Young Couture - and that was it!

I now want another bride to feel as special as I did on such an important day.

The 'Butter' gown was custom made by Georgia Young herself in her Brunswick studio in Melbourne.
It was made to order for a March 2023 wedding.

The gown is constructed with a bright ivory, soft-matte finish, heavy crepe that’s designed to sculpt and hold.

It was so comfortable and easy to dance in - and eat and drink as well.
Gorgeous but functional.
It also photographs beautifully.

The gown has a stunning modern bow at the back.
Off-the-shoulder sleeves that can be adjusted to any height - to highlight your decolletage.
The bodice cinches you in at the waist - with draping across the mid-section - so flattering.
There's a stunning train - which bustles up easily underneath for dancing.
Plus the customised split - to show off some leg - and fabulous shoes of course.

I wanted to preserve my gown ASAP after my wedding for it to be in perfect condition for another bride.

That's why I had it professionally dry-cleaned at the famous Syndal's Bridal Dry Cleaners in Armadale, Melbourne. It is recommended by Australia's top bridal designers - including Georgia Young.

I have official receipts of both the gown purchase from Georgia Young - and the excellent craftsmanship of Syndal's Dry Cleaning (plus a certificate). They also re-attached the eye hook at the top of the zip of the dress.

The gown looks as good as sparkling brand new - and is currently being stored in a climate-controlled location inside the original Georgia Young gown bag.

Alterations

Dress altered over the course of three fittings with Georgia Young herself at her Brunswick studio in Melbourne - to make sure it was extra snug. Can easily be altered further if needed.
