The Dress

A beautiful vintage Chris Kole Couture dress. Unsure the year, just guessed! This dress is 100% dupion silk with a lace bust. Dupion is the most natural and purest form of silk. It is made by using thin warp thread that produces a tightly woven fabric with a plain weave. In comparison to other silk fabrics, dupion silk fabric is stronger because of its dual thread nature. In addition to being the most durable natural fabric, dupion silk fabric is also environmentally friendly. Dupion silk fabric is also very comfortable as well as one of the most luxurious fabrics available. The dress has never been worn outside of the bridal salon! It is very flattering and has supportive boning, this dress is too big on me and I still felt supported by the inside structure! I found my absolute dream dress and am selling this one so I can afford that one. This dress was originally $3,000 and I bought off the floor. Price is negotiable but hoping to make some money back for my other dress!! There seems to be a minor stitching issue just below the zipper (see 4th picture). It does not affect the zip and I only noticed it when taking these photos! I called my seamstress and she said it can be quickly sewn from the inside. The dress can also be altered into a trumpet if you would prefer a different silhouette. I don’t have the exact measurements as it’s not tailored to my body. I am 5’9” and typically a street dress size 4/6.
