The Dress

Bella E La Bestia Bridal Ballgown. I purchased this beautiful dress in 2019 for my 2020 wedding and you can imagine that the following years prompted alot of change. I never wore this dress on my wedding day, It’s been stored laying flat, in its dress bag, in a cupboard, with damprid and insect repellents to keep it in its best condition. From a smoke free home.

I purchased this dress off the rack, discounted for $2,250. I then had alterations done by my seamstress: the mesh back was altered to make it pearl button-up, she reinforced the back zip as the store one was flimsy, and she removed the small poor quality cups on the inside of the dress. The dress has some marks on the edge of the skirt from touching the bridal store floor, these are minor and would be fixed with a dry clean but I personally dont think its necessary.

This ballgown has illusion mesh on the backing, sleeves and chest, the chest features a low cut design. It has a full glitter ballgown skirt with train. Under the skirt is three layers of tule, with a fabric liner for comfort.

The dress currently doesnt fit me but when it did I was a size 12, 165cm tall, and a 12DD bust.
I measured this dress flat on the ground and got the following measurements:
Top of shoulder to the bottom of dress (shortest point): 150cm
Armpit to armpit full measurement: 90cm
Top of shoulder (where the detailing starts) to end of sleeve: 55cm
Train length: tricky to get accurate but id say 1 metre give or take.

The dress is a ballgown and does have some weight to it in the bottom half and with the mesh top this makes the dress delicate. So ive made the decision to not allow try-ons at this time.
