The Dress

This Pronovias dress is from the Hollywood Glamour Collection! It is described by Pronovias as Off White/Crystal/Pink. I purchased this dress in 2022 and wore it once at my wedding in September 2022. This dress was apparently a best seller in the summer of 2022 as it checks many boxes for brides. What is unique about this dress and what I love about it is:

• The embroidery gives it a luxurious feel however the overall look is still subtle as the pattern and layers come beautifully together and the sparkle is not overwhelming.
• The modern design of this dress gives you a fitted look while the added tulle and full chapel train in the bottom make it super dreamy and special. The transition from top to bottom is seamless making it very flattering on the body.
• The pinkish/champagne undertone is extremely soft, and it allows you to see the beautiful details of the dress – note the dress looks white overall, however when it’s on the hanger it might seem pinker than it actually is.
• You don’t have to compromise looks for comfort. It is a fairly lightweight dress that works for both a summer/winter wedding.

I am also selling the veil that comes with it. It’s cathedral length and by the Designer Laura Jayne (style: Paulette). The tulle is embroidered on the edge and the crystals are handsewn individually. I bought it for $900+ CAD and I am willing to sell it at a discount (a receipt of purchase available).

Alterations

- The slit in the chest area was covered up as the dress originally comes as a V-neck in the middle that goes down until the top of the belly. My seamstress used the embroidery (flowers and stars) from leftover fabric and sewed it by hand to match the pattern across. Since the foundation of the dress was not touched, you can restore the front area to the original look. (Check the website link in the description)
- Cups have been added to the bra area (I'm usually a 34C/36B cup). I wanted a more natural look, so the cups are not padded and not push-ups. The chest area can look fuller if you replace the cups or have a bigger bust.
-The chest area was taken in and the hip area was taken out. I'm a S/M size on top and M/L in the bottom.
- I opted to add extra lining to the dress (an add-on when purchasing the dress from Pronovias for an additional $500). If you've tried this dress at a store be mindful that typically the floor sample comes without a lining and that in daylight the dress is see-through. Due to the added layer, I let out the bottom slightly so I'm more comfortable moving and dancing in this dress.
- I also added a bustle in the back.
- The bottom of the dress was shortened to floor length. I was wearing 4-inch heels and I'm 5'51 (168 cm) tall.
