The Dress

This dress is beautiful, there is no doubt about it.

Beaded ivory tulle over ivory satin, it has a 1920s art deco elegance and feel about it.
Zip up back, so very comfortable, the zip is then covered over by clear crystal beads.

I hunted around online for ages and fell in love with this dress. I wanted something that was sparkly, elegant, a little sexy, and a wee bit different and this ticked all those boxes! I still think she is a most beautiful dress, but I never actually wore it on my wedding day!

I never understood how girls were saying they fell in love with a dress but then realized it didn't suit the venue or something along those lines, but then I turned around and did exactly that. I got the dress and realized that the fit and flare style wasn't really going to suit and so went with another option. It was a tough decision though, I hmmm'd and haaaaa'd for a long time because every time I brought it out to look over the beading and elegance and beauty of the dress took me all over again. But the wedding day has officially been and gone, and there is literally no point me holding on to the dress, and she is just too beautiful not to be shared and experienced by someone else.

The sheer illusion straps and sweetheart type neckline underneath is the best of both worlds - with a bigger bust I didn't think the strapless really did it for me, so this was a goer - you get the strapless line, with the functional, beautiful and beaded straps to feel a bit more secure.

It's a discontinued dress, so there will be nothing out there like it, and while on my hunt for the dress in the first place, I never found anything like it anyway.

Bought online and shipped over from to NZ The States, the dress still has all it's tags, is in perfect condition, and apart from trying it on a couple times, it's never been worn. There have also been no alterations.

Because I did not wear it on my day, I have no professional photos with it on, just the online designer photos. The last one is her though.
