The Dress

This is a beautiful brand new unworn vintage style dress, custom made for me by Cocomelody.com and it is really well made. with amazing lace detail and brand new never worn, unfortunately too small for me and my larger hips.

I am in between size NZ18 and 20 (US 16/18) but I think this would fit more a size 14 US (16 NZ or UK). It has lace up back so can be adjusted to smaller size as well and I believe it can be taken out too, if too small. I just bought a new one in a completely different style so this is currently sitting in my pet free and smoke free home.

They made it too small around the hips than what I originally asked for (more 110cm hips than the 125 cm I requested) is too figure hugging for me and I have now decided to go for a completely different style.

This should fit a person a bit smaller than my measurements or can be easily be taken in and adjusted: I am a 40DD bust, 95 cm waist and 120 cm hips. I am 162 cm tall and told them I would wear 6-8m heel shoes.

I paid NZD 750 to have it custom made two months ago, and If you look at the current dresses for sale on Cocomelody, this dress is the style n.LD3859 in ivory lace and champagne inner fabric. I had the front sparkly detail removed and asked for lace up corset back instead of buttons. I also asked to make the train a little bit shorter at the back so the lenght at the back from shoulder to hem is about 182 cm, while the front is floor lenght.

Unfortunately while trying it on for the first time and panicking as I wanted it to make if fit despite being too small, I caused a small damage to a small piece of lace/fabric at the base of the lower back (picture attached to show). This can be easily fixed by a tailor and is is reflected in the lower price asked.

The bust is boned and has built in bra with good support, The lace up corset detail is in champagne. The color is very subtle and the you can see the underneath champagne colour through the lace with a wonderful effect. There's a lady on cocomelody that had it custom made too and you can see how great she looked on the pictures she posted on this dress reviews section.

As you can see from the photos the lace is beautifully beaded and the detail is great, the stitching is good and I have no complains about the qualityof this dress other than It doesn't fit me right. I am sure it will make another curvy bride happy!
