The Dress

I loved my wedding dress, and I hope someone else will love it just as much! I felt very glamorous and comfortable the entire day.

The dress was purchased from Amaline Vitale on Armadale High St, Melbourne. I bought it as a sample and it was altered to fit me by Amaline. RRP $3200, but I paid $2200 plus alterations. The fabric is gorgeous ivory crepe silk, and the style is clean and modern with lovely detail on the bust, and a thin belt. You could easily add your own jewelled or lace detailing, eg a belt, if you felt that was more your style. The neckline and back are both a deep V, and the skirt is not quite a straight A-line, but hugs the hips slightly to create a lovely hourglass shape. There is a slight train.

Regarding size, dress should fit size 8-10. Measurements taken from the dress are: bust 98cm, waist 71cm, high hip (15cm from waist) 96cm, low hip (25cm from waist) 100cm. I am 175 cm tall (5'9") and I wore 4.5 cm heels.

Straight after the wedding, the dress was hand cleaned at Syndal's Drycleaners (receipt provided). It is now hanging in its garment bag.
