The Dress

This beautiful dress is 13 years old but it is timeless and stunning. A little piece of Australian fashion history, it's not so much a wedding dress as a bespoke haute couture formal dress made by designer Gabriel Scarvelli. The dress featured in Vougue for Fashion Week in 2005. He now makes beading panels for some of the worlds top designers.

This dress is made of actual vintage channel lace of the same flower print Nicole Kidman wore in the Channel #5 photoshoot. It's hand beaded with glass beads. It's backless with shoestring straps and its lilac with jersey silk underlining.

I stand 168cm without heels so the dress is calf length at the front and drops to a handkerchief floor length train at the back. I also used an antique brooch to adjust the train at the base of the back at my wedding reception.

If you are looking for a wedding dress that is not so traditional this is simply spectacular.

The dress is in great condition but as its been in (sealed) storage for over a decade it will need dry cleaning.
