The Dress

From Martina Liana Wedding Dress Collection, design 823 is simply stunning. This is where sparkle and glam meet the elegance of a rich, classic drape of ivory crepe. The illusion bodice detail is natural, beaded, porcelain tulle featuring a deep V back. The smooth, figure hugging skirt of Bellagio Crepe is double lined and extends into a long cathedral train. The final finish at the back is a simple, single row of self fabric covered buttons from waist-line to hem. From under the same buttons, the back zips up and a detachable Bellagio Crepe belt is included.

My measurements and the corresponding dress sizes were as follows:
Bust 31.5 inches (7)
Waist 25.5 inches (9/10)
Hip 36.5 inches (9)

Therefore we ordered the size 10 and it fitted well. I am a 10C and the built in cups had some extra room so the dress would fit a larger bust. Or the cups could be replaced with smaller ones.

The hemline was taken up by a professional dressmaker. I am 168cm tall and I was wearing 3.5 inch heels."

The dress has been professionally hand cleaned with the utmost of care and is now boxed and sealed in acid free tissue.

The dress was worn once in December, 2016.

A sparkler mishap caused two small burn marks on the cathedral length train and there is also a small stain on the hemline at the front.

By shortening the train, you could eliminate the marks and turn the dress into a customized design uniquely tailored to your preference. This dress is well suited to a Sweep or a Chapel length train.

A Sweep: a small swish of a train that trails about six inches on the floor. This style (sometimes also called a "brush" train) is a good choice for outdoor brides who want a touch of glamour without too much fabric dragging on the ground, or indoor brides who prefer something more simple and low-key.

A Chapel: A train that extends 12 to 18 inches along the floor and is slightly longer than the sweep. This is the most common style — it's great for brides who want a more serious train without a lot of fuss. The overall look is elegant without being too heavy.
