The Dress

Couture Kate Dowman silk taffeta wedding dress - worn on the one occasion for around 8 hours.

Full length A-line design, with a low scooped neckline and straps that are twisted over the shoulder. Low back with hand sewn silk buttons down the back of the dress (these are for show, there is a zip sewn underneath). The front of the dress has ruche detail. Gown comes with a full length veil (does not cover face) that has small Swarovski crystals hand sewn all over it.

This was a couture gown but I would have been a dress size of 8 when this was made. The dress was touching the floor and my height is 162cm and I was wearing 10cm heels. 10C bust.

Condition is immaculate - practically like new. There are one or two marks on the hemline but they are barely visible. A dressmaker personally handwashed the garment using a damp sponge, rather than having this drycleaned which can cause damage to the fabric. The dress has been wrapped in tissue and boxed in a dark and dry wardrobe.
