The Dress

MZ2 line by Mark Zunino, sold exclusively at Kleinfelds.

This mermaid gown has a sweetheart neckline lace, a chapel train and cap sleeves. The lace is actually delicate floral applique, as shown in the 5th and 6th pictures. Corset-back, fits like a glove. The great thing about corset is that it can fit a size 2-6 because it expands/contracts with the lace-up nature of a corset. Sleeves can be worn on top of shoulder or off-the shoulder using double-sided sticky tape.

I received SOOOOO many compliments on this dress, and people we're floored at how beautiful and unique the floral detail was.

Tailored to fit by Kleinfelds - I am 5'5, 120lbs, 34c bust and normally wear size 2. It was tailored for my height + 2 inch heels - in other words for someone standing at 5'7". Minimal tailoring, relied primarily on the adjustable nature of the corset. The only other thing that I did was cut the corset strings shorter because I felt that when tied into a bow at the end, the bow was too long otherwise - but I would recommend tucking in the strings and not timing into a bow.

It has a 5-point over-bustle.

Purchased from Kleinfelds in February 2015. Worn once at my wedding in August 2015. Professionally dry cleaned/preserved and stored in a dry, cool place.
