The Dress

I purchased the gorgeous 'Scarlet' lace Monique Lhuillier gown in New York when my husband and I were travelling through the States. I can't express in words how incredible I felt on the day and how many compliments I received. I felt like I was floating on cloud nine in this beautiful dress and I hope some lucky bride will feel exactly the same way on her big day when she wears this dress.

The dress has a latte coloured slip which accentuates the ivory lace. I am a size 6 to 8 street size and had the dress altered to accentuate my curves. It is a US size 2. My dressmaker also put see-through domes that attach the slip to the lace overlay (you cannot see from the outside) which meant I didn't have to worry about it slipping all day and she has also inserted cups to hold everything in place nicely! She also put small attachments into the back of the dress to tie it up with ribbon for later in the night for dancing etc. I have also had the dress professionally drycleaned at Regal Drycleaners in Newmarket and it looks fantastic.

I am approx 165cm tall and wore 3 and a half inch wedges. I'm happy to send other photos if requested. If you would like to purchase the veil then I will include it for an extra $100.
