The Dress

Floor length taffeta dress with silver embroidery. This dress is so pretty, I loved wearing it for our wedding in February this year. I bought it from Brides on Thorndon in Wellington last year.

Style is fitted to the hips and then flares out slightly. I was after something not too 'pouffy' and not a mermaid look either, and this was perfect. It has a lace-up back which ended up being really practical - no worries about slight changes in weight! I had the straps made from some of the tie used for the back but you could remove them or change for something else. The dress has a small train - when else do you get to wear a dress with a train! There are two loops to hold the train or tie it to the back of the dress.

The fabric is taffeta with silver embroidery on the bodice, down the side and on the train.

I am about a size 10 and this fitted well (with a bit of extra padding in the bust). I am 168cm tall and wore 6cm heels, and I didn't change the length.
