The Dress

The Nightingale Gown was part of the Suzanne Harward (SH) 2016 Neo-Victorian Capsule Collection.

A gorgeous Guipure lace gown with the iconic SH double plunge neckline, a stunning sheer lace back and fitted a-line skirt. The lace sits over a nude silk lining.

I have always loved the SH plunge neckline and lacework but I absolutely fell in love with the back of this dress. I received so many compliments on the day and afterwards but more importantly i felt so comfortable all day and dancing into the night!

The dress comes with the matching SH Diamond Trim Lace Edge Veil which picks up the Diamond trim around the waist of the dress and down the sides - and absolutely made the dress, i'm so glad i bought it! It's cathedral length and ivory in colour.

The dress is incredibly striking both from the front and back, particularly with the veil - which really came into its own at our outdoor ceremony when the wind picked it up.

The dress retails for $8,999 and the veil retails for $549.

Size: A couture Size 12 but i'm normally a Size 8 top and Size 10 bottom and it fit me perfectly

Lined: Silk

Length: Floor length with cathedral train. I am 168cm and wore a 5cm heel.

Wash care instructions: Dry Clean Only

I had the sheer material between the v-neck professionally removed as i didn't like the look - i've seen numerous other brides have done the same. The dress still sat beautifully - with a little help from some double sided tape.

The dress and veil were professionally dry cleaned by Laundry Box - chemical free dry cleaners in Port Melbourne - straight after the wedding.
