The Dress

This gown is in what the desinger website called a mermaid style where the dress is very fitting around the bust, corset area and the bottom then dramatically fishtails out from the thighs to fall to the ground. If you're petite and want to show off a small waist and a flat stomach this is the dress for you. It is a size 7 but was let out in some places so in between a size 7 & an 8.

It is strapless with the bust being shaped into the dress. It has the most elegant beading work in the bust, just enough to make it special but nothing too over powering as it is the overall shape of the dress that makes it gorgeous. There is also beading on the slight train at the back to catch the light. The train can be hooked up for after the wedding formalities.

The dress is made from silk but has a slight metallic sheen. It keeps its shape by not being just one piece of material it is actually panelled.

It is lace up at the back so you can ensure you get the perfect fit on the day and will accommodate somewhat to different measurements. For a strapless dress it is actually quite low in the back not straight across as you can see in the photos more in ato help highlight the overall mermaid shape from behind, perfect for the up at the altar pictures.

There is an elastic strap within the stress that helps to keep the strapless dress in place. It does have shoe string straps you can attach and there is also a bow you can add on around the tail bone area. There is some boning within the corset area that helps to keep everything structured but you can still breathe

As the gown is supposed to be floor length, it was taken up to suit me, my height is 164cm and I wore approx 2cm heels.

There is one layer of netting at the bottom of the dress to help it fishtail out and give it more shape. Overall I didn't find the dress hot to get married in and we got married in March.

A lovely dress to make you feel stunning on your special day. I had a bit of a shocker buying a dress and this was the second one I actually bought!
