I brought this dress after falling in love with the Dita dress online, not being able to find a NZ stockist, then randomly googling and discovering stillwhite, the Dita dress second hand, and available in my area. I have had fittings at bridal shops but when I tried the Dita dress on It was amazingly light, soft, floaty, and a beautiful romantic colour I had to have it, even though I am a small size 6-8. I thought I would buy it, caught up with engagement fever and a love of a dress that I thought was totally meant to be and didnt want to lose it to another buyer, and find a tailor, however for me to have alterations will end up costing me a lot more than what I would intend doing with a second hand dress. To order new from the UK it is $6200 - One tailor has suggested I have her design and remake a bodice and recycle the skirt, but again that is going to cost me alot, even though I have thought it would be a cool thing to do. I brought the dress for $2500 in good condition second hand and hope to get my money back through listing at the same price. The dress has not been worn by me - I am still looking for a gown... It comes from a smoke free home, the original owner is gorgeous and is very happily married (if you want a bit of history). I am however willing to negotiate a price as I think ill need the money to put toward a new dress that will fit, or that has alteration costs included in purchase, or is made to measure.
